Driver Training in California
Driver Training is the 6 hour Behind-The-Wheel state required course for students under 18 to obtain their driver’s license. This course is taught in three two hour lessons.
You may call any instructor directly and schedule the days and times that fit your schedule when you have your provisional permit.
Enroll in California driver training to learn to drive in realistic traffic conditions. Although it is the law in California that all teens must complete driver education, the benefits of this program go far beyond just complying with the law. This course will give young drivers the knowledge and skills to drive safely and legally. It takes rigorous training and understanding of the laws to drive safely.
New drivers learn not only the basics but also defensive driving methods, common sense, and good judgment, which prepares them to handle various driving situations.
Free pick-up / dropped off at home, school, work, etc. and instruction is one to one. Each student receives a state certificate upon completion of the course. All instructors are experienced teachers.
Economic Driving School offers instruction in automatic transmission cars. The six hour behind-the-wheel training course will be $500 beginning June 1, 2024. Instructors may charge an additional fee because of increased fuel prices and their commute. The rate for adults (over 18) is $90.00 per hour.
